For the 5th consecutive year, The Altair Enlighten Award is open for nominations from automotive manufacturers and suppliers, highlighting achievements and innovations in vehicle lightweighting from across the world. The Award is presented in partnership with CAR (Center for Automotive Research), and SAE International.
Past winners have included Ford, GM, BMW and Jaguar Land Rover.
2017 sees a new Altair Award Category--Enabling Technology--
“specific to products that make innovation in full vehicles, modules, systems and components possible,” including fasteners, adhesives, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Altair (headquartered in Troy, Michigan, U.S. with operations in 22 countries) provides “technology and services for business and engineering innovation.” The company is focused on the development and application of simulation technology to synthesize and optimize designs, processes and decisions for its clients.
