A magnesium-aluminum combo outer shell marks the design of a fewer-than-ten limited edition of Eagle Spyder GTs, a spirited updated version of the classic 1960s Jaguar. The hand-shaped lightweight body (the vehicle weighs only 1,029 kg), improvements in handling, balance and performance, and a reworked Jaguar XK 4.7-litre straight six can take the Eagle E-type from 0-60 km/h in 5 seconds, to a top speed of 170+mph. A five-speed gearbox can bolt daring drivers with 330 hp and 340 ft lbs of torque.
Henry Pearman, Managing Director at Eagle says, 'We're really proud of what's been achieved with our E-Type Special Editions, and the worldwide reaction has made all the years of effort and dedication completely worthwhile.”
The strictly limited production means the GT will join the other Eagle Special Edition E-types (the GT is the fourth in the series) in the circle of the most exclusive hand built cars in the world. And the price says just how exclusive: £834,000 for what critics call, “British craftsmanship at its sumptuous best.”
